Because this really does bug me! Warning, rant ahead. *cue World is Mine to make semi-petty rantings by* Dx

(Please aware that this stamp does not simply go for Neru and Haku; it goes for Meito, Luki, Mikuo, Tako Luka, and other pitches/genderbends/etc. Haku and Neru are just on the stamp because I find their key-changed songs to be most pervasive.)

Let me explain what I'm talking about. I like the characters of Haku Yowane and Neru Akita of Vocaloid, and after hearing Neru's "God Knows" ([link]), Haku's "Daughter of White" ([link]), and both of their voices on Meiko Sakine's "Honey" ([link]), I fell in love  Happily, I scoured YouTube for their videos (try as I might, I can't navigate Nicovideo).

However, almost all of what I found were either Miku's songs lowered a key for Haku (one key, not one octave), raised a key for Neru, or Rin's songs lowered a key for Neru (or Haku dancing to a song in Miku's vocals, but that's not really what I'm getting at). Honorable mention goes to a "Disappearance of Neru and Haku" duet, which was both keyed-down and keyed-up Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, played at the same time. I guesstimate that the ratio of key-changed Neru/Haku songs to not would be 1:5 or lower :dead:

Guys, I know not all of us have 20000 or so yen (or the local currency equivalent) to pay for Vocaloid software. I've also read that neither have "official voices" (although it's commonly said that Haku is two octaves lowered Miku). But key-changed songs don't really sound like a whole new Vocaloid. They sound like... Miku and Rin in weird keys, a song that sounds badly-tuned because some parts just aren't meant to be keyed up, and like you barely put any effort in, when you may have put in a lot!

The closest things I've found to "official voices" are the configurations at vocaloid.wikia.com that the producers use - look up "Neru Akita" and "Haku Yowane," and plug the configurations into Miku/Rin. (Neru can be derived from Rin and Miku using these, and Haku can be derived from Miku). If you don't use the software, why not take a stab at making a fandub or downloading UTAU (it's free, and instructional videos on YT help majorly)? Have at it, and if nothing else, have fun :)

Disclaimer: I realize some people will disagree with me on this; I'm saying "this bugs me," not "you can't do this anymore." :P So if you go after me, please don't go after me about forgetting/impinging upon your freedom of speech/expression/uploading to YT/whatever.

i personally kinda like them,, i think that a simple pitch change to a song sounds cool/and or makes it sound more dramatic?? if that makes sense? but yeahhh the fact some people think it's lazy is a bit understandable
